GENERAL INFORMATION
What cookies are and what they are used for
A cookie is a text file that a website visited by the user sends to the user’s terminal (computer, mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet), where it is stored in order to be subsequently retransmitted to that website on the occasion of a later visit to the same website.
Cookies are distinguished from one another:
- on the basis of the party that installs them, depending on whether this is the operator of the website visited (so-called "first-party cookies") or a different party (so-called "third-party cookies");
- on the basis of the purpose of each cookie: some cookies allow better browsing by storing certain choices of the user, for example the language (so-called "technical cookies"), while other cookies make it possible to monitor the browsing of the user, also for the purpose of sending advertising and/or offering services in line with his or her preferences (so-called "profiling cookies").
Only profiling cookies require the prior consent of the user to their use.
The Data Controller is exclusively responsible for the first-party cookies installed by it on the Website.
In the section "Technical first-party cookies" you may view the types of technical first-party cookies issued by the Website.
The management of profiling cookies is described in the section "Third-party profiling cookies".

Technical first-party cookies
These cookies are necessary for the operation of the Website and cannot be deactivated. They are usually set in response to actions taken which constitute a request for services, such as setting cookie preferences, logging in or filling in forms, browsing preferences.
- The Website issues browsing or session cookies which ensure normal browsing and normal use of the Website.
- The Website also issues cookies which document your consent to the issuing of profiling cookies and the related preferences. These cookies recognise you on your second access to the Website, so that consent to the installation of profiling cookies is not requested again.
- Technical cookies are also used which allow you to browse the Website while retaining the choices made.
- The Owner of the Website also uses "anonymised" Google Analytics. This means that the cookies issued by Google Analytics only allow the analysis of statistical data, without the possibility of identifying the individual user.
- The Website also uses cookies which retain the choice concerning the display mode of the Products on the Website.
- The Data Controller also uses cookies which keep track of the Products viewed by the user during the session on the Website.
Third-party profiling cookies
In the cookie banner which appears on first access to the Website you may examine the profiling cookies issued by the Website and express your preferences.
Marketing cookies — the Data Controller's own communication platform (Mautic)
They make it possible to recognise the device and to link your browsing on the Website to any commercial communications you may have received, in order to send messages relevant to the interests you have expressed. They are installed only with your prior consent and may be disabled at any time from the preference management panel. The platform is installed on the Data Controller's own servers located in the European Union; the data are not disclosed to third parties.
In detail, subject to your consent, the following items are stored on your device:
- mautic_device_id — cookie of the domain mautic.ingrosso-pelletteria.com, duration 1 year, SameSite=None attribute: it recognises the device from one visit to the next.
- mtc_id — session cookie of the same domain, SameSite=None: it links the visit to the contact already known; it is deleted when the browser is closed.
- mautic_referer_id — cookie of the same domain, duration 30 minutes, SameSite=None: it retains the source of the current visit.
- mtc_id and mautic_device_id — they are also stored, for the same purpose, in the browser's local storage (localStorage) on the Website's domain. They are not cookies, but they nonetheless constitute the storing of information on your device pursuant to Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and are subject to the same consent; they remain until you clear your browser's browsing data.
The SameSite=None attribute is technically necessary because the communication platform resides on a subdomain distinct from that of the Website. Withdrawal of consent, carried out from the preference management panel, immediately stops any further collection and entails the removal of the data stored in the browser's local storage.
Your rights
Pursuant to Art. 13 of the GDPR, the Data Controller informs you that you have the right to:
- request from the Data Controller access to your personal data and the rectification or erasure thereof, or the restriction of the processing concerning you, or to object to their processing, in addition to the right to data portability
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before its withdrawal
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g.: the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian data protection authority).
The above rights may be exercised by means of a request addressed, without formalities, to the contacts indicated in the Introduction.
